Yesterday I discovered something really strange and interesting in context of skating:

A switch 360 has the same direction of rotation as a backside 360. I'm able to do switch 360s. Not in such a good and stable way as regular 360s, but I can do them. But the same time I'm not yet able to do backside 360s. It feels totally different :-D

For those who are not familiar with these skate things:

1) A 360 is when you jump up and your body makes a rotation of 360 degrees lengthwise.

2) Frontside - backside - switch: When you ride some kind of board then you usually have a front foot and back foot. Let's say your front foot is your left one. When you jump up and turn your 360 counter clockwise then it's a frontside 360 because your front is what turns in your riding direction first. When you turn clockwise then your back turns in the riding direction first and then it's called backside.

So a front side 360 (when your left foot is your front foot) is turn counter clockwise.

3) Switch is when you switch your style of riding in that way that you use your regular front foot as back foot and your regular back foot as front foot. So now you have your right foot as front foot (you're riding switch) and turn your front to riding direction, you turn clockwise.

This is a switch front-side-360.

When you ride regular again (left foot as front foot) and turn your 360 clockwise it's backside, because now your back turns to the front first.

Same direction - but feels so very different :-D
