Just in case you are wondering why I do quote posts relatively often:
I use friendica to be able to communicate with people in the diaspora network and people in the the activityPub network. These are not compatible - so activityPub folks can't communicate directly with diaspora folks and vice versa.
Friendica is able to communicate with both.
By using quote post functionality my intention is to to share something I've seen in one of the two networks with the folks of the other one. This works in both directions. People still can't directly communicate with the original authors due to the network barrier, but with friendica I can simply do reshares this way. In my opinion this is an awesome use case for quote posts

Dankeschoen! Gerade eben war ich bei einem Nachbarschaftsgartenprojekt hier im Kiez - die haben einen Acker und machen da ne ganze Menge. Bin das erste mal da gewesen und wir haben erstmal umgegraben und Beete angelegt und so. Werde ein paar meiner Jungpflanzen auch dort unterbringen
These are relatively new sorts of OpenSourceSeed tomatoes and I'm super excited. I think I'll gonna sow the usual suspects ( Vivavorma, Vivagrand and Sunviva) as well. I just have a very small balcony, but at least I can give away plants then if I have them 🙂
But there's also
- Blackheart - Pleated Tangerine
Black Heart is an OpenSource chili and Pleated tangerine is an OpenSource yellow pepper.
And there's also Bubblegum chili - which is not OpenSource. It is a super hot sort of chili. Really really hot. Somewhere in the top 5 or top 3 of the hottest sorts world wide 🔥 🌶️
I can't eat hot peppers anymore, but first of all I want to keep bublegum "alive" because it is a very very good sort. It is super yummy. It's taste is very fruity. Also I would like to try to cross a new variety with it. If it works and if I like the result then I would (of course) put it under OpenSource license 🌱 ☀️ 🌏
